Baptist Church we endeavour to meet the ministry needs of
all who attend our services. As well, we encourage
our members to involve themselves in ministry activities in
the wider community.
Teaching and instruction from the Word of
God is conducted each Sunday morning prior to the
combined morning worship service.
Youth & Children's
Sunday School is provided for youth as
well as two separate levels for children relevant to
their age groups.
Children between the ages of six and three
are welcome to attend our Children's Church which is
held in conjunction with our Sunday morning worship
service. This is a special time of singing, Bible
lessons and craft activities that is geared specifically
towards this age group. Children's Church has
proven to be a great avenue to transition children into
sitting in a complete church service.
Combined worship services are conducted
each Sunday morning and Sunday evening. Hymns are sung
and teaching and encouragement is brought from God's
The Coastline Baptist Church Youth
Ministry is an exciting ministry for young people in
Grades 7-12. We encourage teenagers to reach all
the potential God has given them and to live their lives
with faith in Christ and a genuine concern for
others. We provide a positive peer group to
support, encourage and pray for each other.
Coastline Baptist Church provides
specified planned times for our teens to meet together
for fellowship and fun. Whether meeting at the
Esplanade for a game of volleyball or cricket or running
amongst the bushes in a game of Paintball, teens enjoy
time together in a clean, fun-filled environment.
Youth activities are also a great avenue to invite and
introduce other teens to Coastline Baptist Church.
Each year during the September school
holidays, our teens (and pre-teens, Grade 4-6) attend
Camp Quinola in Malanda. This has proven a
wonderful time for our teens to get away from the
pressures of the world and school, hear Bible preaching,
enjoy games and sport activities and make new friends
with other Christian teens. God has richly blessed
this time for our teenagers, and they eagerly look
forward to each new camp.
Mid-week Bible Study
& Prayer Meeting
Bible study is conducted on Wednesday
evenings presenting topics which encourage Christian
living. Corporate prayer is also brought before the
Lord during this meeting.
State School Religious
School based religious education is
conducted on a weekly basis during school terms.
Once a month on a Sunday afternoon the
Pastor and other church members meet with the elderly to
offer song and encouragement from the Word.
The pastor regularly visits with members
of the church as well as with non-members who have
expressed a desire to know more about the Gospel or
Coastline Baptist Church.
Sometimes followed with a BBQ or some
other "get-together" for fellowship, members
regularly distribute a church promotional
invitation/information flyer in letterboxes of residents
throughout the Cairns district.
Missions is the heartbeat of God.
Before Christ left earth to return to Heaven, He gave one
last prayer request. That request was to pray for
more labourers to enter the ripe harvest field of
souls. Christ also gave one final command - that to
go forth and be a witness to every creature of the
Based on these things, Coastline Baptist
Church has a two-fold plan for missions. Firstly,
we actively pray that God would call someone from amongst
us to go forth, win souls and plant churches where the
Gospel is not actively being preached. Secondly, we
are directly involved in proclaiming the Gospel to the
world through supporting church planting
missionaries. Coastline Baptist Church
supports a number of missionary families, both nationally and internationally.
